Requirements:

  • An appropriate three year recognized qualification or equivalent in Human Resource Management or other related fields. 1 to 3 years appropriate experience in HR related matters is required. 
  • Good understanding of the Performance Management and Development System for salary level 1-12, Occupational Specific Dispensation (OSD), chapter 4 of the Senior Management Handbook. Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, PERSAL system, Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations as well as other related employment legislation is required. 
  • Valid drivers’ license. 
  • Good interpersonal skills as well as presentation and report writing skills.
Duties:

  • Implement and manage the performance management and development system in the Department. Ensure that performance agreements are entered into and quarterly reviews are completed by all employees. Create and manage a database on performance management statistics. Capturing of performance agreements and quarterly reviews onto PERSAL system. Assist with conducting induction and orientation on PMDS for newly appointed employees. Engage management and Organized Labour on performance management issues. Provide advice on performance management and development issues within the Department.
