Directorate Food Service

Requirements:
ABET Level 4/ minimum Grade 10 qualification with 2 years kitchen experience in food service environment. Basic food preparation, Ability to operate equipment. Basic cleaning and hygiene knowledge, Basic safety knowledge, Food service processes and procedures and other relevant legal framework such as: Patient Rights Charter, National Core Standard and Batho Pele Principles. Effective communication skills, effective team work skills. Problem identification skills.
Duties:
To supervise over Food Service Aid employees and duties to be performed in rendering a good service to the client. Compile diet summary list of production meals.Compile issues list daily and issue ingredients accordingly to cook. Do administrative duties related to food Service e.g. bin cards, filling of order form, completing work order. Prepare breakfast daily for tients and clients during morning shifts. Prepare snacks and salads when needed. Assist in catering request for special occasions. To ensure adherence of quality control measures on prepared food items/meals and cleaning procedures.
