REQUIREMENTS : A three-year degree or diploma in Events Management or appropriate equivalent qualification with experience in government events management and co- ordination OR a Senior Certificate plus experience in government events management and co-ordination. Skills & Competencies: Knowledge of financial procedures, procurement procedures and government communications; Good communication and project management skills; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

DUTIES : Engage with internal and external stakeholders to determine the needs for the events; Facilitate logistical arrangements for the events (venue, equipments, etc.); Coordinate agreements with suppliers, contractors and clients with regard to events; Compile outcomes report for the events; Obtain input from Branches for upcoming events; Develop and maintain the Events Calendar for the Department to ensure effective planning; Compile and maintain accurate databases of key dignitaries and stakeholders for events; Develop and update a database of events venues in South Africa; Ensure appropriate protocol guidelines are in place for designated events and appointments with dignitaries; Ensure orders of precedence, seating arrangements, and relevant protocol-related matters are implemented; Coordinate event schedules with stakeholders; Prepare comprehensive schedule, including full itinerary details, transport and accommodation arrangements, and administrative details.
