Requirements:
- Grade 12 with 2 years’ experience in Facilities Management Environment / Diploma or Degree in Public Management, Public Administration, Facilities Management or Maintenance Management with 1 year experience in Facilities Management Environment.
- Good office co-ordination skills including filling.
- Meeting minutes compiling, Computer Literacy, Knowledge on OHS ACT.
Duties:
- Responsible for administration function of FMU. Communicate constantly with Department of Infrastructure Development Regions with regard to building, electrical, mechanical, structural maintenance defects. Manage record keeping pertaining to all minor and major repairs. Do walkabouts to identify repairs or maintenance and report to authorities for further attention. Compile and keep weekly record of all defects reported, completed and assigned to GDID – Chief Artisan and Control Works Inspectors. Ensure that hospital grounds are well maintained. Responsible for ensuring that all defects or minor new works requests from the end-users are loaded on the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development (GDID) e-maintenance system. Liaison with internal and external stake holders. Ensure sorting, forwarding and screening of telephone, fax, correspondence and documentation in the FMU.
