Requirements
Senior Certificate / Grade 12 supported by appropriate administrative experience. Computer literacy and efficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is compulsory. A valid driver’s license (Code B, EB or C1) is compulsory. Knowledge and understanding of all legislative frameworks governing the Public Services. Overall knowledge of government’s transformation policies and priorities is a necessity. Good organisational, communication, interpersonal, reporting, and writing skills. Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times and maintain confidentiality of the reports handled.
 
Duties
Manage, compile, supervise, control and monitor all the post mortem reports processes for the facility. Duties include but are not limited to: Compile and file PM reports, record and file all chain statements. Ensure effective communication with internal stakeholders (all doctors and support staff) for finalization of PM reports. Ensure effective communication with external stakeholders (interaction with SAPS, Courts and families for post mortem reports, specimen results and exhibits). Maintain effective and efficient management of post mortem daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly statistics, (Facility monthly stats, Bi-weekly status quo on reports, and daily spreadsheet on reports). Ensure effective and efficient administrative support to the facility manager and the chief forensic officer, by assisting on HR administration, finance management and procurement processes of the facility. Keep records and take minutes, typing of minutes and agendas when required during internal and external stakeholder’s meetings. Receive subpoenas and correspond with relevant officers for court date and report on monthly statistics. Also, note that the selected candidate must be willing to avail him/ herself for the performing of any other administrative duties at the facility (e.g., HRM, Assets, PM Report Administration) as may be required by facility management. Job rotation to perform other administrative duties is, therefore, included in this post.

Applicants invited for an interview will be tested on vehicle driving and computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) using practical driving tests and computer exercises. The completed and signed form should be accompanied by a recently updated CV as well as certified copies of all qualification/s and identity documents (no copies of certified copies allowed, certification should not be more than six months old). Successful candidates will be subjected to OHS medical surveillance as required by HBA regulations within the OHS Act 85 of 1993 and security clearance check with South African Police Services or other relevant state agencies, reference check and verification of qualifications will be conducted.
